John M. Longo,has served as the independent Director of Belite Bio, Inc since April 2022. Dr. Longo has also served as a faculty member at Rutgers Business School on a full-time or part-time basis since June 1993, where he is currently distinguished professor of practice in its finance & economics department. Dr. Longo has also been a visiting professor of finance at Global EMBA -Asia, the joint EMBA program of Columbia Business School, London Business School, and the University of Hong Kong from 2016 to 2022. From 2013 to 2015, Mr. Chuang was the senior manager of Wanda Hotel Development Company Limited (HKG: 0169). He is a clinically active retinal expert with more than two decades of expertise in treating retinal diseases, including Stargardt disease and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Scholl has served as the founding and scientific co-director of the Institute of Molecular and Clinical Ophthalmology Basel (IOB) from 2018 and Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology of the University Hospital Basel from 2016. He has served as President of the European Vision Institute (EVI) since 2018, Chairman of EVICR.net and its Expert Committee on Retinal Dystrophies from 2017, and Founder and President of ARVO-SWISS from 2020. In academia, Dr. Scholl has held leadership roles at key institutions, notably as Professor of Ophthalmology and Endowed Chair at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins University Medical School, where he also led the Retinal Degeneration Clinic and the Visual Neurophysiology Service. Dr. Scholl is the coordinating principal investigator of the largest natural history study of Stargardt disease (ProgStar Study). He holds an honorary doctorate from Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary, and is Adjunct Professor at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Scholl graduated from the Eberhard-Karls-University Tübingen, Germany, with a Doctor of Medicine and Master of Arts.
