Joshua Brumm has served as our Chief Executive Officer and President and as a director since October 2019. Alexandra Balcom,has served as Chief Financial Officer since January 2021. Before joining Nuvalent, she held various roles at SQZ Biotechnologies Company, a biotechnology company, from April 2017 to March 2021, including Vice President of Finance, where she was responsible for strategic planning, finance and accounting. Prior to that, Ms. Balcom served as Corporate Controller at Agios Pharmaceuticals Inc., a pharmaceutical company. Ms. Balcom was responsible for all financial functions of the company including strategic planning, treasury, tax, finance, and accounting. Susan Moran

Susan Moran has over 20 years of industry and academic experience, successfully leading programs through IND clearance to full regulatory approval. Dr. Moran has served on the board of directors of Tyra Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: TYRA) since May 2024 and Crescent Biopharma since November 2024. From July 2021 to May 2024, Dr. Moran served as Chief Medical Officer of RayzeBio, Inc., a radiopharmaceutical therapeutics company previously listed on Nasdaq that was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in February 2024. Prior to joining RayzeBio, Dr. Moran served as Chief Medical Officer at QED Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company and subsidiary of BridgeBio Pharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBIO) from March 2018 to June 2021, where she oversaw clinical development of infigratinib, leading to approval of TruseltiqTM. Prior to QED, Dr. Moran was at Puma Biotechnology, Inc. from 2014 to February 2018, contributing to the approval of Nerylnx. She was Senior Medical Director until December 2016 when her role expanded to Vice President and Head of Clinical Development. Dr. Moran has played roles in the development, registration, and post marketing support of products for breast, prostate, thyroid, bile duct, urothelial, lung, and neuroendocrine cancer, as well as multiple sclerosis, achondroplasia, and other disorders. She is a board certified internist and has served on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Moran received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, M.D. from Duke University, and M.S. in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Susan Moran has over 20 years of industry and academic experience, successfully leading programs through IND clearance to full regulatory approval. Dr. Moran has served on the board of directors of Tyra Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: TYRA) since May 2024 and Crescent Biopharma since November 2024. From July 2021 to May 2024, Dr. Moran served as Chief Medical Officer of RayzeBio, Inc., a radiopharmaceutical therapeutics company previously listed on Nasdaq that was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb in February 2024. Prior to joining RayzeBio, Dr. Moran served as Chief Medical Officer at QED Therapeutics, Inc., a biotechnology company and subsidiary of BridgeBio Pharma, Inc. (Nasdaq: BBIO) from March 2018 to June 2021, where she oversaw clinical development of infigratinib, leading to approval of TruseltiqTM. Prior to QED, Dr. Moran was at Puma Biotechnology, Inc. from 2014 to February 2018, contributing to the approval of Nerylnx. She was Senior Medical Director until December 2016 when her role expanded to Vice President and Head of Clinical Development. Dr. Moran has played roles in the development, registration, and post marketing support of products for breast, prostate, thyroid, bile duct, urothelial, lung, and neuroendocrine cancer, as well as multiple sclerosis, achondroplasia, and other disorders. She is a board certified internist and has served on the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Moran received her B.A. from the University of Virginia, M.D. from Duke University, and M.S. in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.

Jan Pinkas has served as Chief Scientific Officer since July 2025. Prior to joining , Dr. Pinkas was chief scientific officer at Pyxis Oncology, where he established the preclinical research and development function to support ADC and antibody programs through Investigational New Drug (IND) enabling studies and led the translational medicine group. Previoly, at Magenta Therapeutics, Dr. Pinkas served as senior vice president, translational sciences, establishing a new department to support programs as the company advanced from preclinical research to late stage clinical development. Prior to Magenta, Dr. Pinkas worked at ImmunoGen for more than 10 years in positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as vice president, translational research and development. In that role, he led groups supporting molecules from early stage research to IND, and also advancing to pivotal clinical development, including contributing to ELAHERE, an ADC approved for the treatment of platinum resistant ovarian cancer, as ll as SARCLISA, an anti CD38 therapy approved in combination with standard of care for multiple myeloma. Earlier in his career, he held scientist roles foced on oncology research at Amgen and Genzyme Corporation. Dr. Pinkas earned his Ph.D. in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Massachetts, Amherst and received his B.A. in biology from Johns Hopkins University.
