- Robert C. Hatley founded Paragon Bank in August 1998 and has been the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director since that time. He also serves as the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company. Mr. Hatley began his banking career at Wachovia Bank. Over the course of his fourteen years with Wachovia, Mr. Hatley served as a field representative, a credit manager, a branch manager, and a city executive. From 1994 to 1998 Mr. Hatley was Regional Market Manager for Wake County, RBC Centura now PNC Bank. Prior to this, during the period from 1989 to 1994 Mr. Hatley was the City Executive for Cary, North Carolina, RBC Centura. Mr. Hatley graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University.
